Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has lifted the curfew imposed on the Jos-
Bukuru metropolis.
This is coming after the State government had imposed a 24-hour curfew on the
metropolis, in the wake of the looting of public and private properties by some
hoodlums in Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
A statement on the lifting of the curfew and signed by the Director of Press and Public
Affairs to the governor, Gyang Bere in Jos the State Capital said, the Plateau State
Government has fully lifted the curfew imposed on Jos-Bukuru Metropolis, following
the peaceful conduct of residents and an improvement in the security situation.
Governor Mutfwang expressed deep gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their
steadfast patriotism and cooperation during this challenging period and assured
residents of his unwavering commitment to their well-being, and also commended the
security personnel for their dedication and effective enforcement of the curfew.
Mutfwang called for continued collaboration between residents and security agencies
to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
