Nigeria Immigration Service give 60 Junior Members of JTF in Borno State automatic promotion


The Comptroller General Nigeria Immigration Service (CGIS),  Isah Jere Idris has given automatic promotion to 60 junior personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service,serving in the Joint Task Force in Borno state.

The CGIS  revealed this  when he paid an unscheduled visit to the camp of the JTF in Maidugiri during his two day official visit to the state to commission the Personnel Training Resource Center,  built by the International Organization for Migration,  IOM, in collaboration with the Governments of Netherlands,  Switzerland and Germany

In a statement confirming the promotion by the Service Public Relations Officer Tony Akuneme, said that Jere who was impressed with the conduct of the personnel, promised to do everything to keep their moral high .

He also  paid special tribute to the only female member of the 120 member team, Ms Lilian Onuoha.

The CGIS had earlier paid courtesy visits to the Governor of Borno, Prof Babagana Zulum as well as the Shehu of Borno.

In his remarks, Zulum who was represented by the deputy Governor of Borno State Umar Kadafur ,commended all security agencies in Borno ,noting that peace has returned totally to the State, as the entire 27 local government areas in Borno were completely free from any form of insurgency.

He said the state government would continue to support the NIS with necessary infrastructure, to the best of its capabilities to ensure that the peace in the Borno State is sustained.
