Mutfwang Promises To Boost Firefighting Efforts.

 Firefighting efforts in Plateau State have received a boost as the Federal Fire Service has deployed a Rapid Response fire fighting vehicle to the State Command of the Service to boost its operation and ensure a timely response to any fire incident in the State.

The State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang who inaugurated the vehicle used the occasion to make known his plans to reposition the State Fire Service for optimal performance.

Mutfwang, who performed the ceremony at Government House, Jos expressed gratitude to the Director General of the Federal Fire Service for the invaluable contribution to improving firefighting efforts and assured of his commitment to providing continuous support to enhance firefighting operations in the State.

Earlier, the Acting Controller of the Federal Fire Service in the State, Tanfa Bonkat, said “Plateau State is among the 15 States nationwide selected to receive this state-of-the-art firefighting vehicle,” and outlined the vehicle’s capabilities, such as modern features like a 500-litre water tank and a 10-litre tank for chemicals.

Bonkat underscored the vehicle’s adaptability to diverse terrains and announced plans for its strategic deployment in high-risk areas prone to fire outbreaks.
