Indigenes of Aku community in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State have cried out over the
alleged killing of four youths of the village.
According to the indigenes, the youths were killed when they went to a neighbouring
community in search of three of their kinsmen, who were abducted, and the Aku
indigenes are pointing accusing fingers at people of Ikolo community, who had land
dispute with them.
While addressing newsmen on behalf of Aku community, the chairman of Aku General
Assembly, Engr. Innocent Okechukwu Diyoke, appealed to Enugu State Government
and security agencies to wade in and save them from the alleged attacks from their
neighbouring community.
Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the
incident said that, security agencies were deployed to the place to restore peace.
