Adeleke Wants
NYSC Members To Impact On Nation Building.
Osun State Governor,
Ademola Adeleke, has charged members of the National Youth Service Corps, to
embrace diversity, foster inclusivity and strive to make a positive impact
towards nation-building.
Adeleke who disclosed
this during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch A Stream II orientation course
at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede, in Osun State, called on the corps
members to see themselves as ambassadors of Nigeria, and also encouraged them
to utilize the opportunity of the service year to grow and develop new skills
for their personal benefit and development of the nation.
Earlier in his address,
the Osun State NYSC Coordinator, Agbor Ndoma Obim urged the corps members to
carry forward the values of discipline, integrity and selflessness learnt
during the orientation course, and implore them to embrace the opportunities
and challenges that lie ahead with an open mind and spirit of innovation.
Obim also urged the
corps members to be service driven by their passion for national development as
a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of the people they
serve, adding that, the skills they acquired in camp will empower them to
become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic
development of Nigeria.
