NANS Urges Tinubuto Address High Cost Of Living
National Association of Nigerian Students, Southwest Zone D has urged President Bola Tinubu to quickly address the issue of the high cost of living in the country, saying many Nigerians are finding it difficult to survive.
The position of the student body was made known in a
statement after a meeting in Osogbo, Osun State.
The statement was signed by the Zonal Coordinator,
Comrade Alao John, the Zonal Secretary, Comrade SanniOlamide, and the Zonal
Public Relations Officer, Comrade BamigboyeOluwadamilola.
The association expressed deep concern over the hardship
being faced by citizens and issued a strong call to action at President Tinubu
to urgently address the issue.
It subsequently issued a 14-day ultimatum for President
Tinubu to respond to its demands and implement concrete measures to tackle the
cost of living crisis.
NANS Southwest Zone D therefore called upon all relevant
stakeholders, including government officials, policymakers, and civil society
organizations, to join hands in addressing the urgent needs of the Nigerian
people.
The association emphasized the importance of swift and
decisive action to mitigate the impact of the cost of living crisis and restore
hope and dignity to millions of struggling Nigerians.
