People’s Democratic Party, in Bauchi State has elected new executive officers to
oversee the party’s affairs.
The election held at the weekend, saw Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga emerge as
Chairman, and Falalu Attah as the Deputy Chairman respectively.
The Chairman of the electoral Committee, Ambassador Umar El-Gash, while declaring
the results said, all the candidates returned unopposed and therefore declared elected.
In his remarks, Governor Bala Mohammed who was represented by his Deputy,
Muhammad Auwal Jatau, charged the newly elected officers to consolidate and build on
the success story of their predecessors to ensure PDP maintain its position as the ruling
party in the state come 2027.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Burga said, their emergence as
PDP leaders was a victory for every Party member in the state and pledged to maintain
an open-door policy, adding that everyone willing to contribute positively to the party’s
progress in the state will be included and encouraged to participate.
