Conference Of Speakers Advice NASS On Constitution Review
Chairman of Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin is calling on members of the National Assembly to ensure that, the reviewed constitution reflects the yearnings of Nigerians.
Ogundoyin, who doubles as Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, said that many Nigerians have identified faults in the current constitution and urged the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives to ensure that the reviewed constitution address the yearnings of ordinary citizens.
He disclosed this at the declaration of the inauguration of the House of Representatives Constitution Review Committee in Abuja, while, the need review the constitution against became necessary due to the deficiencies in the current constitution.
He said, It is important to appreciate and understand the true reflection of the nation’s diversities and complexities to better address the current issues, realities and challenges ordinary Nigerians face daily.
