Flood Destroys Several Houses, Farmlands .
One person is feared dead in a flood that wreaked havoc in Nguroje community in Sardauna local government council of Taraba State, while windstorm also destroyed several houses in Takum local government council of the state.
Apart from the victim who was killed in the flood, another person was reported missing with several houses destroyed.
Pained by the disaster, the member representing the area in the state House of Assembly, Nelson Lens, described the incident as unfortunate, and the first of its kind in the area, adding that, the construction of waterways in the community will go a long way to avert future occurrences.
He said, the deceased has been identified as Gomma Sadiq while measures have been put in place to rescue the missing person.
Other members of the community who confirmed the incident are pleading with the state government and the North East Development Commission, to extend olive branches to the victims.
