Accidental Gunfire Kills Two.
Two young men were mistakenly killed by a bullet from a
policeman’s gun in Ekiti State.
Witnesses report that the incident occurred around 10 pm
on Tuesday in the Omisanjana Area of Ado Ekiti.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the Ekiti State
Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, said a discreet investigation has commenced.
While the Command is already in touch with the families
of the deceased, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Akinwale Kunle Adeniran,
condoled with the families and assured them that a discreet investigation has
commenced and justice shall prevail.
