As the world celebrate the world science day today , the ministry of science and technology led by the Director Science and Technology Mrs Nkechi Chukwurah took staff of the ministry on a street walk through major streets in Asaba to Government house and terminated at the Science hub.
In an interview with the Director, in the Ministry Of Science and Technology Mrs Chukwurah said 10th of November annually is being set aside by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO to create awareness on the significant of science and technology.
She commended the state government for it's contribution to the development of science and technology in the state.
Mrs Chukwurah disclosed that the state will soon embark on EXPO Research work where research work on new innovation, and invention will be brought to bare by young Scientists who would be allowed to show their technical knowledge in all areas of human endeavors.
She affirmed that Science encompasses every aspect of human existence including Economics, Commerce, Technology amongst others.
In line with the theme,Basic Sciences for sustainable development, Mrs Chukwurah noted that science and technology is key to achieving SDGs
