Attack Damages 200 Houses.
Deadly rainstorm attack
has injured three persons and damaged over 200 houses in Miango District of
Bassa Local Government of Plateau State.
The Publicity Secretary,
Miango Youth Development Association, NuhuNga said, the sad incident has
affected structures including, residential houses, a clinic, schools, shops,
and livestock pens and also uprooted some economic trees and left many people
stranded.
He said, valuables such
as documents, household products, cement, and many other items were destroyed
by the rampaging rainstorm, while, three people were injured and have been
taken to hospital for treatment.
The Youth boss equally called
on the State Emergency Management Agency, and the National Emergency Management
Agency, and the Local Government Council to come to the aid of the affected
persons, while, appealing to non-governmental organizations and well-meaning
individuals to, as a matter of urgency, render assistance to the aid of the
affected persons as the rainy season gets closer.
