NSCDC Destroys Illegal Refining Site In Etche LGA.

Commandant General said, they have destroyed an illegal refining site
containing over 100,000 litres of stolen crude oil in Adobi settlement in Etche
Local Government Area, Rivers State.
According to the commander of the squad, Dandaura Appolos, the success
resulted from credible intelligence that reported suspects of vandalizing a
multinational company’s well-head after suspects had connected galvanized
metal pipes with large hoses to siphon and locally process the crude oil.
NSCDC spokesman, Babawale Afolabi, in a statement said, the SIS promptly
acted on the information, uncovering several sites where significant illegal
refining activities were taking place, and were able to arrest one Godspower
Oyibo from Delta State, who is now assisting them with further investigation.
