North-East Govs Decry Inadequate Infrastructures.
North-East Governors’ Forum said they are not particularly happy over the
neglect of the region, and decried the absence of Federal Government in the
region.
Speaking at the 10th NEGF meeting which was held in Bauchi had, in
attendance Governors of Gombe; Muhammadu Yahaya, and Yobe; Mai Buni,
as well as Borno state Governor; Professor Babagana Zulum, and Adamawa;
Ahmadu Fintiri, Taraba; Dr Agbu Kefas and Bauchi; Bala Mohammed.
According to a communique signed by the Forum Chairman, Professor
Babagana Zulum, urged the Federal Government to prioritize the region to
enhance its development.
The Governors also decried the blackout across the region, and cautioned
the Transmission Company of Nigeria on its poor handling of repairs, adding
that, it would wait till the agreed May 27 to see full restoration of power.
