Operatives of the AkwaIbom State Police Command have shot dead
three armed robbers, while one of the suspects was captured during an operation
in the IkotEkpene Local Government Area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP , said, the robbers were intercepted during an
attempt to rob the National Museum in IkotInyang Village, while, the operatives
engaged the armed robbers, numbering about 10, and neutralized three in a gun
duel.
He also said, a locally made pistol, one expanded and one live
cartridge and vandalised wire cables, among other items, were recovered from
them.
