As Nigerians still battling with fuel scarcity, the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Mele Kyari has assured that the crisis in the country will soon be over. 


Mele Kyari gave the assurance in Abuja shortly after meeting with oil marketers, deport owners, distributors as well as security agencies, and other stakeholders in the sector.


Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) Mele Kyari said what is currently going on causing fuel scarcity is the realities of the market. 

He said the authorities are working to curtail the situation explaining that Pricing and logistic is a major challenges faced which is causing delays in the distribution of PMS in the country. 


Kyari stated that the matter is now been carefully resolved and the government is currently responding to the problems associated with pricing so that Nigerians will not be exploited and ensured that products reached their destinations.

He said they are putting up an enormous framework for monitoring so that every truck with products in it gets to where it will be delivered for the use of Nigerians.


Kayri also expressed optimism that security agencies will play their part in the area of enforcement including the regulatory control by the Nigerian mainstream and downstream regulatory authority.
