The National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA has signed a memorandum of Understanding with the UNICORN Group of Company to promote digital literacy in Nigeria.
The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi said this at the signing ceremony in Abuja.
Director General of NITDA who was represented by the National Director, National center for artificial intelligence and robotics Mr. Garba Musa said plans are underway to exploit another areas that will empower Nigerians in different ways with use of Omeife, Nigeria's first Robot.
He said Omeife is going to offer Nigerians a favor of ingenious content and create solutions needed by Nigerians where local languages will be used and train Nigerian on how they can take advantage of the digital economy to explore
e-commerce platforms and do financial transactions.
The CEO of UNICORN Group Dr. Chuks Ekweme while emphasizing the importance of a digital economy assured that all is in place to deliver to Nigerians the opportunity to be part of a digital world
The special Assistant to DG of NITDA, Mrs Ekimo Musa said the move by the agency is in line with Nigeria's digital transformation agenda.
