Former Bank Manager Bags 121 Years Jail Over Fraud.

Former manager, First City Monument Bank, Onitsha branch, Nwachukwu Placidus, has been sentenced to a cumulative of 121 years in prison for diverting fixed deposit funds of a customer to the tune of One Hundred and Twelve Million, One Hundred Thousand Naira only for his personal use.

Justice S. N. Odili of the Anambra State High Court sitting in Onitsha, handed the judgment following Placidus’ arraignment on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 by the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale who revealed this in a statement on Saturday explained that the Convict was arraigned on 16-count charges bordering on forgery, stealing, obtaining by false pretence and uttering.
