Bill amending National Agricultural Land Development Authority pass second reading

As the bill allowing for inclusion the management and development of farm settlement as a mandate of the National  Agricultural Land Development Authority scale a second reading in the House of Representatives,the Member representing Agege Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Adejare Samuel has assured that the bill when signed into law would bring the agency closer to farmers,boost the agricultural sector as well as the country's economy.

Other benefits of bill which is titled a bill for an act to amend the National Agricultural Land Development Authority to Act, Cap. N4, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 for the Purpose of Managing and Developing Farm Settlements,Increasing Membership of the Governing Board, Expanding Functions; and for Related Matters,according to the Lawmaker include to help in land acquisition and preparation for farmers at a subsidise rate.

Earlier,Hon Adejare had called on the House during plenary to pass the bill for a second reading .

The bill was referred to the House Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions for further legislative inputs.
