The Nation Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iorchia Ayu has been accused of working against his party, the PDP. The chairman was also described as the chief enemy of the party.

Moses IDIKA, a guest on ATN Politics while commenting on the call made by the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria on Dr. Ayu to see his call for resignation as a call to service, said Ayu’s refusal to step-down clearly shows he has constituted himself in to a clog in the wheel of progress.

He said, Dr. Ayu has refuse to be patriotic and the elder statesman he is supposed to be. Adding that any call from the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Ayu to resign, as is been expected from some quarters, will be sending wrong signals. Mr Idika submitted that the chairman’s acting shows he is acting the script of those who wants the PDP dead.

The leadership of the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Saturday, urged the national chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Iyorchia Ayu, to consider the call for his resignation as a call to service. The group observed that the resignation or stepping down of Ayu as the National chairman of the PDP would give the party a face of equity and fairness when a Southerner emerges as the chairman of the party.
