Labour Party Plans To Declare Lawmakers’ Seats Vacant.

Labour Party says it is planning to declare vacant seats of the Enugu State lawmakers who want to defect to the ruling People’s Democratic Party.

The Enugu State Labour Party Chairman, Casmir Agbo who disclosed this said, the State government is under the control of the People’s Democratic Party, which won the March 18 gubernatorial election.

However, Agbo is now saying that, the party was aware of the antics of some Labour Party members who want to decamp to PDP and this is coming after the Independent National Electoral Commission, had in its released list after the 2023 general election said, the party secured 14 seats out of the 24 seats.

INEC’s Head of Voter Education and Publicity in Enugu State, Rex Achumie, issued the list detailing the names, constituencies, parties and number of votes scored by the members-elect at the March 18 election, while, according to the commission, the People’s Democratic Party, has the remaining 10 seats.
