Gov. Kefas Plans To Mitigate Impact Of Climate Change.
Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has stated the commitment of his administration to mitigate the impact of climate change across the state.
He also pledged to address pressing economic challenges as well as promote sustainable land use practices.
The governor disclosed this at the Federal University Wukari while flagging off two million assorted economic tree planting campaigns.
The governor, represented by his deputy, Alhaji Abdullahi Aminu Alkali, said his administration recognizes the critical importance of trees to humanity and the environment at large, adding that, the event is a significant milestone in his administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability, conservation, and economic development.
He also said, the planting of the two million assorted economic trees represents collective determination in addressing economic challenges, promotes sustainable land use practices and reduces the impact of climate change in Taraba state, adding that, the Green Taraba project is a testament to his administration’s commitment to safeguarding the natural heritage and ensuring healthier economic resilience.
