Uzodimma Assures Collaboration With Labour Leaders.
Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma says his administration is commitment to working in collaboration with labour leaders.
He who disclosed this in a meeting with the newly elected executive members of the organised labour unions in Imo State at the Government House, congratulated them on their appointments and expressed his willingness to support them in defending the interests of workers across the state.
A statement by the chief press secretary and media adviser to the governor, Oguwike Nwachuku, said, the governor also accepted the Organised Labour’s request to host their annual convention in Imo State later this year, promising to make it a memorable event surpassing previous conventions held elsewhere.
In his remarks, Nwigwe thanked the governor for his generosity towards workers, citing initiatives such as free transportation, free medical care, civil service reform, prompt salary and pension payments, worker promotions, and the recent commitment to paying gratuities to retirees.
Nwigwe assured Uzodimma of a willingness to work with the governor to achieve the desired peace for Imo State.
