TOWARDS 2023: Wike’ll not apologies to anyone over Obasanjo kneeling comment, says lawyer

Against the demand of the Peoples’ Democratic Party that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike should apologized to former president Olusegun Obasanjo, presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar and the family of a former BoT chairman of the party, late Chief Tony Anenih, a lawyer, Barr. Abubakar Animiokhali has said Wike will not apologize to anyone.

 

Speaking on the demand of PDP on ATN politics, Barr. Animiokhali said PDP should not expect an apology especially given that the demand is being made by third-party.

 

He urged the PDP to refrain from distractions and focus on resolving the crises bedeviling the party ahead of the elections.

 

The PDP through a statement by Phrank Shaibu, Atiku Abubakar’s Special Assistant on Public Communication is demanding Wike offer a public apology to Obasanjo, Atiku, and the late Chief Anthony Anenih for the comments that Anenih asked Obasanjo to kneel before Atiku, when they were in office. The PDP said Wike was not close to the theatre of national politics to be previewed to happenings then.
