Jonathan Wants New Amnesty Boss To Prioritize Education.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan is urging the new administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Denis Otuaro, to prioritize education in order to foster development in the Niger Delta region.
Jonathan disclosed this in a statement while playing hosted Dr Dennis Otuaro during a consultative visit to him in Abuja.
He said, You need to focus attention on the education scholarship under the programme to benefit more people in the region, adding that, women empowerment is also important as part of the efforts to deepen peace in the region.
Also speaking, Otuaro, thanked the former President for his contribution to peace and development not just in the Niger Delta but also the entire country and assured Jonathan that the Presidential Amnesty Programme under his leadership would not deviate from the original plan to sustain peace and development in the Niger Delta region.
