Crashes Leave 17 Injured.
Multiple crashes on Saturday at about 8.55 am around
Iju Bridge, Ota-Idiroko road left 17 people injured while 15 others escaped
unhurt.
The accident involved three vehicles and a tricycle.
The vehicles involved are a Mazda bus, a Toyota Hiace
bus, a Sino truck and another Bajaj tricycle.
Spokesperson of Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road
Safety Corps, Florence Okpe disclosed this in a statement made available to
journalists on Saturday.
Okpe blamed the accident on excessive speed on the part
of the driver of the Sino truck while negotiating the bend around the Ijubridge
after which he lost control and rammed into the vehicle triggering multiple
crashes.
Those injured were said to have been taken to General
Hospital, Ota for medical treatment.
