APC Governorship Aspirant Alleged Imposition of Candidate

One of the governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, in the November 2024 election in Edo state, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere has raised the alarm over what he described as a plot by the leader of the party in the State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole to foist one Dennis Idahosa as the party’s flagbearer.

Agbomhere is accusing the APC leader of planning to use undemocratic means, after he had allegedly realized that members of the Party in Edo are prepared to reject any puppet imposed on them by any political godfather.

Agbomhere, who is the former South-South Zonal Organising Secretary of the APC, said the people are determined to elect ‘an unblemished candidate’ who can win the governorship seat for the party.

He further alleged that Oshiomholehad concluded plans to coerce the National Chairman of the APC, AbdulahiGanduje into appointing Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma as the Chairman of the Edo State Primaries Committee, where about three hundred and twenty six thousand two hundred and twelve votes will be cooked up in favour of Oshiomhole’s stooge, while a handful of votes will be allocated to the eleven other aspirants.

The governorship aspirant claimed that “Uzodinma is to use the opportunity of the Edo State primaries to pay back Oshiomhole for handing him the party’s ticket to contest the governorship position in Imo State in 2018, when he(Oshiomhole) presided over the affairs of the party as National Chairman.

He vowed not to allow Dennis Idahosa, who he described as “a serial decampee’ among other allegations to be imposed on them by Oshiomhole.
