Lawmaker proposes the adoption of te
The Member representing ,Takai/Sumaila Federal Constituency of Kano State,Hon Shamsudeen Bello-Dambazau has proposed the introduction of technology for seamless production and distribution of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs by the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC for the enhancement of the country's electoral process.
Hon Bello-Danbazau made the call on Thursday while interacting Members of House of Representatives Press Corps at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
The lawmaker who noted that amendment to Electoral Act has enhanced the electoral system by allowing the use of technology ,said this would address all concerns from Nigerians by making it possible and seamless to access PVCs from any location of the country.
Speaking on the security challenge in the Nigeria, the Lawmaker observed that the security situation in the country has improved over the years noting the mechanisms put in place by the Federal Government to tackle security threats.
He urged Security Agencies to provide security during the forthcoming election to enhance secured environment for free, fair and credible polls.
Recall the the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC has assured Nigerians following several attracts on its offices and facilities , of its plans to conduct the 2023 elections as schedule.
