Soldiers Arrest Two Suspected Armed Robbers.
Edo State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service said its personnel, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army and operatives of the local vigilante, arrested two suspected armed robbers in Ubiaja in Esan South East Local Government Area.
Public Relations Officer of the Command, Aminu Sumaila Suleman, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Benin City.
He said the suspects are among criminals that are terrorizing the locality and its environs.
He said the suspects were arrested by a combined team of the command’s Correctional Armed Squad Personnel, Nigerian Army manning guard at the Medium Security Custodial Centre and operatives of the local vigilante in the locality.
He said the Deputy Controller of Corrections, Julius Osemwegie, officer in charge of the custodial center reported that the suspects were arrested at the scene of the crime.
