USAID Partners Support For PHC.
United States Agency for International Development has partnered to collaborate with ministries, departments and agencies in Kebbi State to boost its budget to support primary health centres.
The USAID State2State Team Lead, Usman Faleye, who disclosed this at a three-day workshop said, the focus of the meeting was on the health sector to ensure that its budget is increased and more funds are released to the sector in the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning in the state, Hajia Aisha Usman, acknowledged that the state had not had it so good before the training, which she described as an “eye-opener, adding that, the budget profiling and cash management procedures were very impactful as they gave the state the idea of the expenditure for each month and enabled the state to plan correctly before having such expenditure.
