17-Year-Old Girl Stabs Foster Mother To Death.

17-year-old foster daughter identified as Wunmi has alleged killed a 54-year-old civil servant, Mrs Funmilayo Adelayi in the Oda axis of Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State during the week.

The suspect who fled home after committing the crime was apprehended by the police following the discovery of the decomposing body of Adelayi at her three-bedroom bungalow along Superjet Road, Premier Estate, off Oda Road, and the body was found by her neighbours who were curious to know her whereabouts after they noticed her absence.

According to one of her neighbours, who craved anonymity, Adelayi returned from her Ministry of Finance office on March 13, where she attended the inauguration of a new Permanent Secretary in her Ministry before she returned home to meet her untimely death upon arrival.

He said, the remains were visible through the window when her car was discovered parked inside the compound while her foster daughter was missing.

The Police spokesperson in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed the incident, said the teenager had been arrested while investigation has commenced.DP/KG
