Nollywood has once again been struck by tragedy with the death of Yoruba actor Yusuf
Olorungbebe. He passed away after a prolonged battle with an illness.
Yusuf’s death was announced on Wednesday morning by popular actress Foluke
Daramola via Instagram.
This heartbreaking news comes just days after Nollywood actress, Sharon Okpamen
passed away nearly one month after giving birth to her second child.
ATN learnt that Olorungbebe had been in critical condition due to his chronic ailment for
several months. He had appealed to Nigerians, the government, and his fellow actors for
financial assistance, stating that he needed millions of Naira to aid his recovery.
Just days before his passing, Daramola had urged benevolent Nigerians to rally around
and provide financial support for the veteran actor due to his deteriorating health.
