A group, Arewa Youth for
Peace and Security, has slammed the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal,
accusing him of abandoning security in the state.
This is following a
recent report on social media alleging that the Minister of Defence for State
and immediate past governor of the State, Bello Matawalle “distributed
foodstuffs” to the Ado Aliero-led bandits terrorizing Zamfara.
The group accused Lawal
of exaggerating insecurity during Matawalle’s administration to receive cheap
publicity and popularity that propelled him to government and has now abandoned
his promises to the people.
