Workers’ Welfare Tops Govt Agenda – Wike.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to prioritizing workers’ welfare, declaring that the well-being of Nigerian workers is at the top of our agenda.

Speaking on Wednesday during the 2024 May Day celebration in Abuja, Wike, represented by the Head of Service of the FCT, Atang Udo Samuel, emphasized that the current administration recognizes the invaluable contributions of workers to the nation’s development and is dedicated to protecting their rights and interests.

In line with this commitment, the Minister explained that the Government has established the FCT Civil Service Commission to promote transparency, accountability, and career progression for FCT administration workers.

According to Wike, the commission will play a crucial role in ensuring that workers’ rights are respected and their hard work is rewarded with opportunities for growth and development.

He noted that the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission marks a significant milestone in the Government’s efforts to reform the civil service and promote workers’ rights.
