President Tinubu Swear In
NEITI Governing Board.

Tinubu has sworn in the newly constituted 15-member National Stakeholders
Working Group, also known as the Governing Board of the Nigeria Extractive
Industries Transparency Initiative.
Represented by the
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, who also
chairs the new NEITI board, transparency in the extractive sector and prudent
management of Nigeria’s resources were central to Tinubu’s economic agenda and
anti-corruption policies warned the board not to dabble in the day-to-day
activities of NEITI.
According to him,
accurate data management is the lifeblood of development in the oil and gas
sector, adding that, the present administration is passionate about and remains
fully committed to the global Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative,
the work of NEITI, and the visible impacts that the EITI process has achieved
so far in Nigeria.
