Nigerian singer Burna Boy and Rema the Best African Music Artist at the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards in
the United States.
The 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards was hosted by rapper Ludacris, while, Nigerian singer, Rema’s ‘Calm
Down’ featuring Selena Gomez won the Best Collaboration of the Year.
American pop star, Beyoncé recieved the iHeart Innovator Award while Cher received the iHeart Icon Award.
This is coming after, Burna Boy had been on a winless streak at award shows, missing out on seven
nominations at the 2023 BET Hip-hop Awards, four nominations at the 2024
Grammys, as well as six nominations at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards. On the
other side of the Atlantic, he lost the Best International Artist of the Year at the 2024 Brit Awards.
