Pilgrim, Oloshogbo Dies In Saudi Arabia.
Lagos State Hajj pilgrim, Idris Oloshogbo, has died in
Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Secretary, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,
Saheed Onipede, made the announcement in a statement through the agency
spokesperson, Taofeek Lawal, on Wednesday.
Onipede said the 68-year-old deceased from Shomolu Local
Government, died while eating his food in the evening (after Solat Maghrib).
Oloshogbo was confirmed dead by medical experts in the
country shortly after returning from Tawaf (circumambulation) of the Holy Kaaba
in Makkah.
Onipede stressed that, while the cause of his death was
yet to be medically ascertained as of press time, the death could not be
unconnected with high blood pressure, BP, and the stress he passed through
during the tawaf.
He appealed to other pilgrims to exercise caution and
restrain from overstressing themselves before the commencement of the real Hajj
rites which are yet to be fulfilled.
