Ighodalo Gets Certificate, Begins Reconciliation
Governorship candidate-elect of the People’s Democratic Party in Edo State, Asue Ighodalo,says he will be presented with his Certificate of Return by the party’s National Working Committee in Abuja.
Ighodalo was declared the winner of the governorship election that took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunaggba, said in a statement that, Ighodalo would receive his certificate at a ceremony scheduled to take place in the National Executive Committee Hall at Wadata Plaza, PDP National Secretariat, in Abuja at noon.
Meanwhile, Ighodalo has congratulated the winners of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo; and his Labour Party counterpart, Olumide Akpata, on their victory as their respective parties’ governorship primaries.
In a statement, Ighodalo urged them to join him to focus on issue-based campaigns ahead of the September 21 governorship election in the state.
