Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the state is working to create
opportunities for residents.
The Governor, who chaired the State Executive Council meeting, said in a post on X.com
that the council addressed “a range of issues impacting the state and outlined
strategies to tackle them, stressing that the discussions focused on the peaceful
advancement and significant growth that Lagos is currently experiencing.
The state executives are meeting for the first time since the nationwide protest against
hunger began in Lagos.
This is coming after the governor said following the protests in the state, he had
directed the Ministry of Youth and Social Development; Ministry of Information and
Strategy and Office of Civic Engagement to immediately open wider channels of
engagement with various stakeholders, including the protest leaders.
