Ikenga Ugochinyere, CUPP Spokesperson

The Coalition of United Political Parties CUPP has alleged the ruling All Progressives Congress APC of a plot to rig the forthcoming general elections and to remove the chairman of the Independent National Electoral  Commission INEC to achieve the plan.

Speaking in Abuja the Spokesperson of the coalition Ikenga Ugochinyere said the coalition intercepted credible intelligence about the grand design of the APC to compromise the 2023 general election and deny Nigerians their sovereign right of electing the candidate of their choice.

Ikenga in his allegation explained that the APC's plots to compromise the voter registration exercise and its secret court process to stop the use of BVAS Bimodal Voter Accreditation Systems for the elections in their favor.

He said that some APC-controlled states have access to INEC registration machines and have conducted their registration process where discovery revealed thousands of foreigners in the register with foreign names.

He called on all Nigerians, civil societies, development partners, and election observers to stand in defense of the nation's Democracy.
