The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has Dissolved it Anti- Vandals teams nationwide and all unapproved Road blocks in the Niger Delta areas.
The NSCDC gave the directive in accordance to the approval of the minister of interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for the annulment and reconstitution of the anti-vandalization department of the corps.
The Commandant general of the service Ahmed Abubakar Audi made the announcement shortly before his meeting with all state commandants in Abuja.
In recent time there have been controversies regarding the managee of oil theft in the country the issue that have also led to loss of revenue for the country.
Also there have been insinuations in some quarters that some members of the corps are involved as accomplices in the act or oil theft which the corps is currently carrying out it investigation.

received the report which have necessitated the leadership of the service to redeem it image by dissolving the anti vandalization department nationwide with a view reorganizing it for needed results.
The commandant general Abubakar Audi also said that that the report of the committee that led to the dissolution of the anti vandals department also indicated that those who have served In the niger delta area for at least six month be replace with fresh personnel for active and more professional minds.
Speaking on discipline punishment of personnel involved in oil theft or any other wrong doing the CG said the corps is carrying out it investigation and those involved will be dealt with accordingly as the service will not condole any act of sabotage or misconduct.
