Makes Effort In Rescuing Kidnapped Students.
Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has said security agencies
in the state were making frantic efforts to rescue abducted students of the
Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.
He promised to review ongoing security operations within
and around the institution to ensure the speedy rescue of abducted students.
Ododo was away when the incident occurred but on his
return, visited the university to assess the situation and receive briefs from
the school management to enable collective strengthening of the security
architecture in the university.
Speaking with newsmen, Governor Ododo revealed that a
preliminary report suspects internal sabotage due to the disconnection of the
CCTV cameras within the premises shortly before the attack.
He, however, assured that those behind the ugly incident
will be brought to book.
