PDP condemns monarch’s murder
Kwara State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, has
condemned the gruesome killing of a revered traditional ruler and retired Army
General, Oba Segun Aremu, the Olukoro of Koro in Ekiti Local Government Area of
the state and the abduction of his wife and two family members by unknown
gunmen.
A statement released by Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara, the
Publicity Secretary of the party, expressed deep concern over the escalating
insecurity in Kwara communities, noting that the state is gradually sloughing its
peaceful status to a volatile state.
The PDP queried where
the huge security vote of the state was being spent and advised Governor
Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in the interest of the state to immediately shop for
experienced security experts that can help provide strategies capable of
bringing this ugly incident to a halt.
