The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has been commended for amicably resolving the crisis rocking his party in Cross River State.
Tinubu had
publically appeal to Senator John Owan-Enoh, a governorship aspirant of the
party who is challenging the outcome of the party’s primary in court to embrace
peace in the interest of the party.
Reacting to Mr. Enoh’
decision to withdraw his suit challenging the part’s governorship primaries,
Mr. Moses Edika, a guest on ATN politics, said, Tinubu has demonstrated
leadership that is worth emulation by other political parties.
He said Tinubu’s
action will increase the fortune of the APC in the 2023 general election even
though, Cross River is seen as a natural base of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
He criticized Atiku Abubakar and the G-5 governors’ handling of the crisis rocking the PDP. He urged Atiku to learn from Tinubu as he chide the G-5 for dramatizing the crisis. The G-5 governor who are demanding the resignation of the PDP National Chairman comprised, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as leader of the group, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu states
Senator Enoh had on
Wednesday announced the withdrawal of his court case challenging the outcome of
the state governorship primaries which he lost to Senator Bassey Out. According
to Enoh, the public appeal by the presidential candidate and National Leader of
the APC is such a humbling experience which I cannot ignore under any
circumstances.
