Aviation: NAHCO rewards staff for returning $10,000

Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc has rewarded a staff member of the

company, Auwal Dankode, who found and returned $10,000 while cleaning

an aircraft in Kano state.

A statement said, the Kano-born Dankode was hosted at the company’s

headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos for

his transparency, honesty and integrity.

This is coming after Dankode was assigned alongside other colleagues, to

clean the MS 878 passenger aircraft operated by Egypt Air, when

he found the money left behind by the passenger on seat No 25H, at the

Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA, last Wednesday. He

promptly turned the money over to the airline’s Station Manager.

The Group Managing Director and CEO of NAHCO, Indranil Gupta, while

commending Dankode for being a true NAHCO ambassador, who has put

into use the training he received in the company, announced a handsome

cash reward, instant promotion and appointment as NAHCO Brand

Ambassador.

The CEO pointed out that the majority of NAHCO staff exhibit these values in

their everyday work in the Company, and as a brand ambassador, Dankode

would grace all NAHCO major events anywhere in the country, as well as

promote its brand and have the chance to travel and interact with top

officials and stakeholders of the company.
