Suspected Herdsmen Kidnap 4 Travelers In Makurdi.

Gunmen suspected to be armed Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped four travelers from a bus and a small vehicle along the School of Remedial Studies, junction, along Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University road in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Eyewitness said, one of the lucky passengers who narrowly escaped the attack and did not want his name mentioned said, the herdsmen blocked the road at the bridge before Alfred Akawe Torkula Polytechnic, Makurdi, and when the herdsmen saw the bus, they started shooting at the bus, while, a Honda vehicle coming the same direction with the bus conveying two ladies also ran into the attack

The woman taken from the bus was later freed due to the life-threatening injuries she sustained.

Police personnel were seen rushing to the scene of the incident and later took the injured victims to an undisclosed hospital in Makurdi for medical treatment, while, comments from the Benue State Police Command on details of the incident did not yield results as the Police Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, is yet to make any statement on the matter.
