Rights Group Probes Tinubu.
President Bola Tinubu has been criticized over his alleged reluctance to tackle monumental corruption in Nigeria, especially in the Nigeria Customs Service.
Executive Director, Resource Centre for Human Rights & Civic Education, Ibrahim M. Zikirullahi, who disclosed this in Abuja said, Nigerians are facing decadence and threats to the country’s nascent democracy, and called on all anti-corruption advocates and well-meaning Nigerians to stand up against corruption, demand accountability, and urgently cleanse the public sector.
The group said, it is deeply concerned about the latest exposures of corruption involving the Nigeria Customs Service, while, the Minister of Finance, the Board of the Nigeria Customs, and the National Assembly must urgently respond to the EFCC investigation reports, stressing that, the government must work towards strengthening institutions and promoting a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour in Nigeria.
