The Member representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency of Niger State Hon. Muhammad Bago has urged the federal government to involve of traditional leaders in the fight against insecurity in the country.
Hon. Bago was reacting to issues of banditry and kidnapping for ransome by criminal elements in Niger State.
He said the strategic position of traditional rulers and leaders as the custodians of culture and tradition as well as security in States, local government areas, towns and villages cannot be overemphasized.
He said collaboration between traditional leaders and government will go a long way in solving insecurity in the country.
The Member who is also the All Progressives Congress Huber Candidate for Niger State also spoke on the current fuel scarcity being experienced in the country, describing it is a pure sabotage as he ,calls on the Federal Government to make sure relevant government agencies are drafted to ensure availability of fuel in filing stations across the country.
The Lawmaker while reacting to the current hardship Nigerians are experiencing due to the new CBN redesign policy and the naira swap policy , said contrary to the insinuations that the policy is targeted at politician, politicians do not care about the naira policy by CBN.
