The Defence Headquarters has disclosed that troops of the Nigeria Military have neutralized 3 top commanders of Boko-Haram Terrorists with large numbers of their foot soilders in Operation Hadin Kai and Hadarin Daji of the North-East and North-western regions of the country.
Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Musa Danmadami made the disclosure at the bi-weekly briefing of the activities of Nigeria troops and other Security agencies in the various theatres of the 6 geopolitical zones of the country, held at Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
Danmadami stated that the aggressive clearance operations conducted by troops at communities, villages and towns in Borno State led to the neutralisation of two significant Boko-Haram/ISWAP commanders, identified as Abu Asiya and Abu Ubaida.
Danmadami said that the troops of operation Hadarin Daji in a related development conducted an air interdiction at identified terrorists hideouts and enclaves in Dutse Babare and Gidan Guga area in Katsina state, neutralizing terrorists leader and Kingpin, identified as Ibrahim Dangawo and Babaru respectively.
The DMO further mentioned that troops of the operation Awatse in joint operation with other security operatives intercepted and arrested 2 child traffickers and 4 drug barons in badagry and Ikorodu local government area of lagos state, and recovered 2 boats loaded with 13 suspected traffiked teenage girls and 1.855kg of cocaine worth 187,700,000,000.00.
He added that all rescued individuals, arrested criminal elements and recovered items have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further actions.
