Group Support State Policing To Reduce Farmers-Herders Clashes.
Group focused on peace building and the reduction of
violent clashes among farmers and herders in Adamawa State, known as Peace
Architecture Dialogue, has called for the adoption of state policing.
The Chairman of PAD, Vidon Jaule, who disclosed this
said, its intervention has immensely contributed to reducing violent clashes
involving farmers and pastoralists in seven local government areas.
The group also lauded Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s
intervention, adding that, the release of the sum of N10.5 million as
compensation to victims of the Lamurde attack prevented reprisal attacks.
